Water Efficiency
Reduction of consumption or leakage thus increasing the freshwater availability at the river basin.
Water Resilience
Improved resilience through flood management or aquifer recharge.
Water Quality
Improve water quality of effluents or runoff discharge to environment.
Ecosystems and biodiversity
Regeneration, restoration or depollution of aquatic or terrestrial bodies enhancing biodiversity, nature and ecosystem services.
Water Reuse
Water reclamation for several uses (environmental, urban, industrial or agricultural purposes) that leads to a reduction of freshwater use or an increase in water availability.
STEP BY STEP
How to certify a project with Water+
1 Preliminary review
Review the main requirements of the Act4water standard to obtain the Water+ certificate.
2 Eligibility
Submit a Preliminary Report for eligibility evaluation (fee applies).
3 Calculate Positive Water Credits
Prepare the Project Report and the Co-benefits Evaluation Document, including the calculation of water credits CAPs your project can generate.
4 Verification
Submit all project documentation along with a positive verification report from an independent entity accredited by Act4water.
5 Accreditation
Upon successful evaluation, your project will receive Water+ certification and be included in our project portfolio. The CAPs generated by your project can be acquired by companies committed to water stewardship and nature conservation.
