Improvement of network efficiency in Alp and Llívia

The project aims to improve the efficiency of the drinking water distribution network in the municipalities of Alp and Llívia (Catalonia) through digitalization and the application of advanced technologies for the detection of hidden leaks. Its main objective is to reduce water losses and improve the hydraulic technical performance (HTP), which in Spain averages 77% according to AEAS data. To this end, digital solutions will be implemented to identify leaks more quickly and accurately, enabling their exact location and subsequent repair. These solutions include the deployment of field sensors, their connectivity with control centers, and the use of artificial intelligence tools to prioritize corrective interventions.

CAPs

CAPs (Credits Aqua Positive), also known as water credits, are a unit that measures the positive impact of projects on water resources.

1 CAP = 1,000 m³ of water footprint saved

CAP eq, or CAP equivalents, are calculated using the ISO 14046 methodology, which adjusts the value of CAPs by considering water stress in the region.
