About Act4water
Act4water is an initiative born from the collaboration of professionals in the water sector and the corporate water footprint to promote the preservation of freshwater resources.
To achieve this, we have developed Positive Water Credits and the Act4water Standard, creating a voluntary marketplace that connects water-positive impact projects with companies seeking to offset their water footprint.
In this way, and within a rigorous and certified regulatory framework, we achieve:
Stimulate the implementation of actions for the preservation and recovery of water resources.
That companies can compensate their impact on water resources in a safe, reliable and transparent manner.
Executive Committee
The Act4water Executive Committee is the main strategic and decision-making body of the initiative. It is made up of experts and representatives of organizations that ensure the fulfillment of Act4water’s mission in sustainable water management.

Technical Committee
The Act4water Technical Committee brings together academic and research experts specialized in water footprinting to improve and develop the water offset standard, bringing scientific rigor to the measurement and verification methodologies.
Evaluation bodies
Specialized body that evaluates certification requests on a case-by-case basis, both for projects and organizations. It is formed by entities with specific knowledge in water footprint and in the evaluation of Positive Water Credits.
