About Act4water
Act4Water is an initiative born from the collaboration of professionals in the water sector and corporate water footprint management, aiming to drive the preservation of freshwater resources.
To achieve this, we have developed a Water Credits system and the Act4Water Standard, creating a voluntary market that connects projects driving positive change in water with organisations seeking to enhance their water stewardship.
Founding team
The Act4Water founding team is the main strategic and decision-making body of the initiative. It is made up of experts and representatives of organisations that ensure the fulfilment of Act4Water’s mission in sustainable water management.

Technical group
The Act4Water technical group brings together academic and research experts specialised in water footprint to improve and develop the water offset standard, bringing scientific rigour to the measurement and verification methodologies.
Evaluation bodies
Specialised body that evaluates certification requests on a case-by-case basis, both for projects and organisations. It is formed by entities with specific knowledge in water footprint and in the evaluation of Water Credits.
