We help organisations measure and communicate their impact on water resources using a consistent, science-based standard.
This approach strengthens organisations’ environmental performance by aligning water management with corporate sustainability goals.
Organisational Water Footprint
Act4water certifications enable companies committed to sustainable water use to report their progress on organisational or corporate water footprint—that is, the organisation’s direct and indirect impact on water resources.
Each seal represents the organisation’s progress in sustainable water management. This progress is assessed using the Act4water Standard, which draws on leading scientific methodologies such as the Water Footprint Network and ISO 14046, with external verification support. In addition to calculating and reducing their footprint, organisations can address their impact through our portfolio of Water+ projects.
Water Committed
Calculation of the corporate water footprint and its reduction through the implementation of a reduction plan.
Water Active
Impact addressed through Water+ projects.
Water Positive
Full and/or positive offsetting of the direct water footprint through Water+ projects.
Water Neutrality for an activity
Water Neutral
This seal certifies that the water footprint of a specific organisational activity has been fully reduced and offset.
